The Winnipeg Jets announced Wednesday they have suspended goaltender Connor Hellebuyck for failing to report to training camp, escalating a trade standoff that has loomed over the franchise since late August.
The team confirmed the suspension on social media, stating general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff will address the situation with media at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Hockey For All Centre.
