There was a grim report from a popular sports physician about the injury to Team Switzerland Kevin Fiala of the Los Angeles Kings after a heavy hit from Tom Wilson that could potentially be career-threatening.

Even though Team Canada moved to 2-0 in the Olympics with a 5-1 win over Team Switzerland today, there was still a bit of controversy during the game thanks to the major hit from Tom Wilson on Switzerland's Kevin Fiala.
Fiala was in immediate distress and had to be stretchered off, as all of Team Canada's players stood at a distance in a classy show of support.
Per a worrying report from Dr. Harjas Grewal, a sports physician who often reacts to hockey injuries, the fear from what he's seen is that Fiala may have suffered a hip dislocation, which could potentially be career-threatening.
Concern is a hip dislocation for Fiala

Football fans will remember when this happened to Tua in college and Bo Jackson earlier than that. Issue needs to be dealt with immediately to prevent bone death of the hip bone or ends up like a Bo Jackson situation. - Dr. Harjas Grewal
He referenced former Los Angeles Raiders running back Bo Jackson, who suffered a career-ending hip injury during the 1991 NFL playoffs and eventually required a total hip replacement surgery.

Tom Wilson Said He Felt Bad About The Hit After The Game

Wilson, who has a long history of controversial hits, said that he felt bad about Fiala's injury.
It’s the Olympic Games and I feel terrible that he may not be able to keep playing. Just sending his family and him my best. You never want to see a guy go down — in a tournament like this, especially. Sucks for the country, for their team. Just wishing him a quick recovery. - Tom Wilson

In 56 games with the Kings this year, Fiala has 40 points (18G, 22A) in 56 games.
