A quote from deceased former NHl player Johnny Gaudreau about his Olympics ambitions has resurfaced following Team USA's historic gold medal win on Sunday.
History was officially made for Team USA in the Olympics, as they won the gold medal for the first time since 1980 with an exciting 2-1 OT win over Team
Canada.

Just like his brother Quinn Hughes did earlier in the Olympics against Team Sweden, Jack Hughes netted the OT GWG for his team to claim victory in thrilling fashion.
Had it not been for his tragic passing in August 2024, former Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau would have been part of the team and shared in the gold medal win and been a major contributor like he was during his NHL career for both the Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets.
