Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand is once again representing Canada, and he believes it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to go for the gold yet again.

Canada will once again be trying to claim the gold medal in men's ice hockey the Olympics, as they did in the 2010 Vancouver Games and the 2014 Sochi Games.
They also claimed the 4 Nations Faceoff tournament last year in February.
Just as he did last year in the 4 Nations Faceoff, Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand will play for Canada, which he described as a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The guys here are so competitive, and obviously everyone’s here for a reason. I think you gotta enjoy it too. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity - except for [Sidney Crosby] and [Drew Doughty] - but you just gotta be able to enjoy the moment, have fun with it. - Brad Marchand

Marchand, who did not play for Canada in the 2014 Sochi games, has loved the international experience so far.
[Staying in the Olympic village] was great, it was really cool to be around all the different athletes. You can tell there’s a lot of excitement. I didn’t really know what to expect, but it’s been awesome, it’s just such an incredible environment in what it represents. I’d love to be able to be in the other villages as well, and meet all the athletes, see all the different sports, but it’s been awesome so far. - Brad Marchand

So far this year in his first full season in a Panthers sweater, Marchand has 50 points (25G, 25A).

Brad Marchand Is Thrilled To Play For Canada In The Olympics

Even though Marchand is known as one of the NHL's biggest pests and trash talkers, the 2011 and 2025 Stanley Cup winner knows when to dial it in.
Obviously there’s a time and a place where you gotta be really dialed in, really focused, but there’s definitely a place for playing around and having a good time because this is a pretty special opportunity. - Brad Marchand

Canada will first play Czechia tomorrow.
