There has been a trade between the Minnesota Wild and the Nashville Predators per NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman.
The trade deadline is only days away now, and the Minnesota Wild have made another move.
They have acquired forward Michael McCarron from the Nashville Predators, per NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman.
In return, the Wild have sent a second round pick in the 2028 NHL Entry Draft back to the Predators, who remain on the postseason bubble.
The Wild are one of the best teams in the Western Conference, and it's clear that GM Bill Guerin, who architected the gold-medal winning Team USA, is doing what he can to ensure they get past the first round of the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
McCarron, who was taken with the 25th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, was traded from the Habs to the Predators in 2020 for Laurent Dauphin.
So far this year, he has 12 points (5G, 7A) in 59 games.
Ex-Nashville Predators Forward Michael McCarron Is On His Way To The Minnesota Wild
McCarron, who was taken with the 25th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, originally committed to play for the Western Michigan University Broncos but he would opt out and instead join the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League.
Since being traded to the Predators, he's split his time between the NHL and their American Hockey League affiliate Milwaukee Admirals.
In 361 career NHL games with the Canadiens and Predators, McCarron has 74 points (33G, 41A).
