After what was reportedly a failed trade of Robert Thomas to Buffalo, his teammate Colton Parayko is headed east.

Parayko, who was recently a silver medalist with Team Canada at the Milano Cortina Olympics, is a 6-foot-6 monster. He commands the ice in a way that few others can rival in the league.

Parayko heads east to the thriving Buffalo Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres, who are having a truly special season after over a decade of missing the playoffs, will add Parayko on this deal.
In exchange, however, is a massive package - 2025 9th overall pick Radim Mrtka, and a 1st round pick.
The Sabres are rewarding their core for their success, and it's pretty cool to see them being a buyer.
