Last night, Taylor Hall faced backlash for a questionable hit on Lane Hutson and now the NHL's Department of Player Safety has provided its final ruling on the situation.
The Carolina Hurricanes came into game two of the Eastern Conference Finals looking to make a statement while tying up the series.
The Hurricanes came out with a much more physical style trying to impose their will on the Canadiens and slow down their highly skilled rush offense attack.
In that process, Hurricanes forward Taylor Hall was caught in the middle of a questionable hit on Canadiens defenseman Lane Hutson.
Many fans believed that Hall went out of his way to make contact with Hutson's knee and deserved to be suspended.
Now, less than 24 hours later, the NHL's Department of Player Safety have delivered their ruling on the play and potential punishment for Hall.

Multiple sources have confirmed that the NHL's Department of Player Safety led by George Parros have elected not to have a hearing for Taylor Hall.
This means that Hall will not face a fine or suspension for his hit on Hutson and will be allowed to take the ice in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
This will be upsetting news for Canadiens fans who were hoping to see justice done for the hit that momentarily injured one of their stars.
As Game 3 gets underway tomorrow, all eyes will be on Montreal to see if the Canadiens take justice into their own hands and put a bounty out on Hall.
