Brady Tkachuk scored in his return to Ottawa, but the Senators beat his Florida Panthers 5-1 and the fans let him hear it all night.
Brady Tkachuk made his return to Ottawa a memorable one.
The Florida Panthers winger scored a power-play goal midway through the first period last Wednesday, then skated straight past the Senators bench with a remark, a moment SensCentral joked was classic Tkachuk.
"Some things never change eh boys."

Matthew Tkachuk set up the goal, which made it a family affair in the building where Brady spent his first eight NHL seasons.
Florida acquired him in June for four draft picks, ending his five-year run as Ottawa's captain.
He had two seasons left on the $57.56 million contract he signed in October 2021, the same month he was named captain.
A hostile welcome back
The crowd did not hold back. Fans chanted that the Senators did not need him.
Tkachuk looked unbothered, and his goal gave Florida the early lead.
Ottawa answered fast. Tim Stutzle tied it a little more than four minutes later with a one-timer off a Jake Sanderson pass, and the Senators pulled away with two goals in the second and another eight minutes into the third from Foegele, set up by Cozens.
The final was 5-1.
Tempers flare near the bench
Things got chippy, too. Brady, Matthew and teammate Sam Bennett got into it with Senators players in front of Ottawa's bench, and Brady had a heated exchange with Dylan Cozens.
Ottawa did lose goaltender Linus Ullmark to an apparent injury early in the third.
He allowed one goal on 18 shots before needing help off the ice, and Sam Ersson stopped the only shot he faced.
Expect this one to stay personal whenever these two teams meet again.
