Two former Montreal Canadiens among players placed on waivers today

There are three players who are now up for grabs over the next 24 hours on the NHL waiver wire, and they'll be sent to their AHL affiliates if they go unclaimed by the other NHL teams.
There is action on the NHL wavier wire today, as multiple players are now up for grabs over the next 24 hours.
The Seattle Kraken waived defenseman Gustav Olofsson, the Detroit Red Wings waived defenseman Erik Gustafsson and the Minnesota Wild waived forward Tyler Pitlick.
Each player now has 24 hours to clear or will otherwise be sent to his team's respective American Hockey League affiliate.
Both Olofsson and Pitlick are former members of the Montreal Canadiens, and Gustafsson has played for several teams including the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers.
Erik Gustafsson And Tyler Pitlick Are Former Montreal Canadiens
Olofsson was taken with the 46th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild, but has spent the majority of his NHL career playing in the American Hockey League.
Erik Gustafsson played for the Canadiens in the 2021 playoffs.
He had a stint in the Canadiens organization after being acquired in 2018 for prospect William Bitten; he played with the AHL's Laval Rocket.
In 63 NHL games, he has 11 assists.
Pitlick was taken with the 31st overall pick by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, and would play 14 games in 2021-22 in a Habs sweater.
He has two goals in 32 games this year, and has 111 points (58G, 53A) in 452 career NHL games.
