Drew Doughty Rips PK Subban for Going Against Canada in the Final and Calls Him Out in New Video
Drew Doughty wasn't happy that fellow Canadian PK Subban went against his own country by picking Team USA to win, and he called him out in a video.
The tournament was a huge success, with millions of viewers watching throughout North America. The final alone set U.S. viewing records. Some NHL superstars, however, were shut out of the tournament due to their places of birth.
One of the few who dared believe in Team USA was a former NHL star, PK Subban, who offered coverage for the event from ESPN.
Subban is Canadian and went against his country
As much as he hails from Toronto, Subban was supporting the Americans, something that was not well taken by most Canadians, including Doughty.
Subban even made a post on Instagram that Doughty was angry about being chosen. The two of them have a past, having battled for years before Subban retired.
Doughty dressed in all four games with Canada in limited minutes, collecting an assist and a +1 rating. He has suited up just seven games for the Kings this year due to a knee injury but has scored a single goal and four points.
The Kings are hoping that he remains healthy and helps fuel a deep playoff run.
