Blackhawks' Connor Bedard Crushed from Behind After Brutal Hit on Lightning's Erik Cernak

Late in the game,
Bedard was sent hard into the boards by Michael Eyssimont after tripping Erik Cernak. Fortunately, Tyler Bertuzzi wasted no time stepping in to defend his teammate.
Earlier in the game, the 19-year-old sensation finished off an impossible shot on Tampa Bay's
Andrei Vasilevskiy. Filthy stuff from the young star.
This is definitely one of the prettier goals anyone has seen all season so far in the NHL.
In the meantime, veteran
Nick Foligno was not about to let things get out of hand. Following what he perceived to be a blatant dive by
Zemgus Girgensons at center ice,
Foligno was having none of it.
He taunted the flop before delivering a clean shot, and the message was sent that that type of play would not be tolerated.
That's the type of leadership Chicago requires, players calling out players and setting the tone, if they want any chance at starting to climb up the standings.
While the playoffs may be out of reach for them, it's never too late to end off a season on a strong note and build momentum for the following season.
