On Saturday the Philadelphia Flyers announced they re-signed Samuel Errson to a two-year extension that keeps him in Philadelphia until the 2025-26 season.
However, this put the Flyers in a weird spot with Errson, Carter Hart and
Cal Petersen all fighting for the goalie rotation. This has led to trade rumors around Carter Hart to have picked up once more.
With all signs pointing Errson to be the next starting goalie for the Flyers means that one of Hart or Petersen will be traded.
All summer long Carter Hart's name has thrown around in possible trades, with him only being 24-years-old the future is bright for him.
Hart has had an inconsistent career with his best year coming in the 2019-20 season when he recorded a 24-13-3 record with an impressive 0.914 save percentage and a goals against average of 2.42.
The Alberta-native would most likely bounce back on a competitive team and return to his true form.
