With two members of the core four up for extensions, it appears there's either going to be plenty of money handed out or a big trade coming, and if it is the latter, it's likely that William Nylander is the man on the move.
According to Eklund of Hockey Buzz, that's the rumour going around right now, and with plenty of teams interested in No. 88, it looks like another serious team has entered the race.
In recent weeks, we've seen him linked to Montreal, the New York Islanders and many other teams, and now an old rumour has once again surfaced, with Nylander potentially on the way to his home town team, the Calgary Flames.
The Flames have had a tough few summers, but the report now is that former Flames GM Brad Treliving could reunite with defenceman Noah Hanifin and other assets in exchange for Nylander in a trade that could certainly benefit both of these teams.
