In a battle of two beasts in the West, the Calgary Flames and visiting Colorado Avalanche were doing battle, when Avalanche defenceman Devon Toews took an inadvertent elbow from Flames forward Elias Lindholm.
The incident happened during the 3rd period of a 2-1 game, Toews went down and was a bloody mess.
Toews should likely be ok with the playoffs around the corner but with MacKinnon recently announces as injured you don't want to lose anymore players.
Avalanche would also win this game 2-1 in a real entering game.
