It's one of those sights you never like to see in hockey. In the 3rd period of last nights Coyotes game star Clayton Keller was working hard to get the insurance goal unfortunately he was blocked off by San Jose Sharks Nicolas Meloche who was pursuing Keller. Meloche bumped into Keller who crashed awkwardly into the boards feet first.

Coyotes head coach Andre Tourigny spoke to the media after the game:

«We know it will be long-term," Arizona coach Andre Tourigny said. «He'll recover. For now it's not the injury, it's the human. It's Kills the person. He competes so hard. Seeing him in pain and having a significant injury, that's extremely tough.»

«A lot of emotions out there,» Jenik said. «Glad we were able to come out with a win, but obviously we lost our best player." - Jan Jenik

Keller gave the thumbs-up sign as he left so that's good news hopefully the Coyote's star won't be out of the lineup to long.

It had to be especially for the mother of Clayton Keller who was in attendance tonight to see her soon play.

San Jose Sharks head coach Bob Boughner also gave his concern for Keller afterwards saying:

«I know that him and Sharks defenseman Nicolas Meloche made some contact, probably five seconds before that happened," San Jose coach Bob Boughner said. "It looked like he just lost an edge or lost his balance going in. He went in pretty nasty. Not good to see on behalf of the Sharks organization we wish Keller a speedy recovery»
