We are just over a week away from the start of the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs, and the Tampa Bay Lightning are looking to try and make it to the finals for the 4th straight season, and hope to win their 3rd cup in 4 years.
Tonight the Lightning are in Ottawa to take on the Senators, and they will be playing without one of their top defenders.
The Lightning have officially announced that Mikhail Sergachev will not be in the lineup tonight.
Sergachev signed a massive contract last offseasons, and is backing up that extension with a career year. So far this season he has 9 goals and 60 points in 77 games.
Some things are bigger than hockey though, Sergachev will be out of the lineup as he is welcoming his first child into the world:
Congratulations Mikhail!
