Last night the Colorado Avalanche won a 6-5 overtime win to sweep the Edmonton Oilers, and move onto the Stanley Cup finals after Artturi Lehkonen's goal.
One of the longest traditions in the NHL is whether to touch the Campbell trophy or not. Last night the Avalanche touched it, but that wasn't what caught everyones attention. If you watched the photo take place, not one single Avalanche player was looking happy. Not one single smile.
We have now found out why. If you watch the video below, the Avalanche's superstar player, Nathan MacKinnon was caught telling all his teammates not to smile during the photo.
Last year when the Avalanche were knocked out of the playoffs, MacKinnon made a huge statement to reporters that he "hasn't won Sh*t". So this is definitely a statement photo that they are still not happy with what they've won, they want the grand prize of the stanley cup.
