I think we can all agree that the NHL has management issues, from Gary Bettman and all the way through. The fact of the matter is most of the time we as fans are just surmising and making some assumptions, but today NHL Agent Allan Walsh provided us with some tangible proof of something we already knew.
Previously the NHL had announced that Rod Brind'amour had been fined $25,000 for what the NHL deemed inappropriate conduct,
But what is inappropriate conduct? Well according to the memo shared by Walsh inappropriate conduct is criticizing officials who are doing a bad job. The NHL is effectively trying to muzzle their coaches, owners and anyone from revealing just how poor of a job their doing.
The NHL was already embarrassed last season when a referee was caught on a hot mic admitting that the league managed penalty counts, but now the NHL is trying to save face while removing all accountability for their employees. It's clear this management group needs to go and soon!
