Minnesota Wild forward, Marcus Foligno has been summoned for a phone hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety after a dangerous knee to the head of Winnipeg Jets Adam Lowry. The incident happened during the 3rd period of the Jets 2-0 victory over the wild and was Foligno's 2nd fight of the game.
Lowry and Foligno fought in the first period of the game and there was a building tension throughout the entire game that finally boiled over after the pairs second fight.
Foligno received a fighting major and unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the play. The Wild's next game isn't until Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes, so the expectation is his hearing will happen before then.
