In the following 2 seasons, Jenik would only get 15 more appearances in the NHL. In his time developing in the AHL, he had 84 points in 110 games. Jenik was developing nicely for a prospect that was drafted so late. Unfortunately for him, the Coyotes just did not want to give him consistent NHL playing time. Now Jenik is reportedly looking for a change of scenery.
With Jenik being just 22 years old and showing improvement every season there will likely be teams calling to acquire him. This deal getting done will depend on how high of a price the Coyotes put on Jenik. One thing is clear Jenik is hoping for a fresh start somewhere that is willing to give him a chance to play in the NHL.
