The Chicago Blackhawks had a fantastic summer, landing the No. 1 overall pick and the generational Connor Bedard, but alongside that, they brought in several solid veteran names.
A former MVP
One of those players they picked up was a former Hart Trophy winner Taylor Hall, whom they picked up from the Bruins for relatively cheap as a salary cap dump, and now, he's expected to play a key role in Bedard's adjustment to the NHL.
Unfortunately, it appears that he's now already dealing with injury issues, as he missed the first day of training camp with a lower-body injury.

A new start
In 142 games over the past two seasons, Hall has tallied 36 goals and 97 points for the Bruins, and while he's no longer the elite, 100-point player he once was, he has the opportunity to be a key player on this Blackhawks team.
It's unclear at this point how long the injury will keep him out, but this isn't a good sign for the Hawks as they look to integrate some of their younger talent, so they'll be hoping he's back very, very soon.
