Jesse Puljujarvi's Career is at Stake After Recent Surgery
Jesse Puljujarvi's career got a rough start. Things weren't easy for him in Edmonton before he got traded to the Hurricanes. There, he showed improvement.
Now, as he's preparing to enter the free agent market, a major development was released, complicating everything for the young Finnish.
The former fourth overall pick underwent a double hip surgery and will miss several months.
It was also reported that he won't receive an offer from the Hurricanes, and will become UFA.
"There is word that Jesse Puljujarvi recently underwent double hip surgery and is facing a lengthy recovery. He won't receive a qualifying offer from the #hurricanes before tomorrow's deadline and will become an unrestricted free agent."
His future is extremely uncertain. If he comes back healthy and ready to play, he'll need a contract. If no team is willing to give that to him, he may decide to move his career to Europe.
