Hockey culture still has a long way to go

Yesterday the NHL wished everyone who celebrates a Happy Diwali through their official Twitter account. Something you'd expect from a league trying to grow in the world wide market while acknowledging it's fan base and everyone who celebrates Diwali. You'd think this would be a wholesome post where no one would have any objections, but unfortunately that's not the case.
In a world where we clearly still struggle with issues in hockey culture we still have those who are comfortable posting ignorant, slanderous and offensive posts. I personally am tired of this behavior and believe these individuals need to be called out for their toxic behavior and held accountable for it.

If you're one of these people or know someone like this we encourage you to educate yourselves. Hockey culture is broken and it's going to take all of us to fix this festering issue.
From all of us at Wheel House Hockey we believe hockey is for everyone and we support anyone who loves the game or wants to learn the game and everyone in between.
