Anthony Beauvillier has performed extremely well in the last two playoffs for the New York Islanders and this off season he signed a 3 year deal with a cap hit of $4,150,000 which seems high for a player whose career high in points is 39. Beauvillier was known for playing the game the right way but it seems that's no longer enough for Barry Trotz.
On Saturday night Trotz made Beauvillier a healthy scratch in the teams' 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils and when asked about Beauvillier playing tomorrow night Trotz didn't give a ringing endorsement.
Trotz said that, "He hasn't talked to Beauvillier since benching him and can't say if he'll play on Tuesday against the Red Wings."
There have been multiple rumours out of Long Island that the Islanders are looking to make a change so keep an eye out on Lou Lamoriello and possibly Anthony Beauvillier.
