Former NHLer calls out Ovechkin for hiding from talking to media
This morning reports were coming out of New York that the Washington Capitals were protecting Ovechkin from having to take questions related to the current Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Akim Aliu who is a former NHLer and Founder of Hockey Diversity Alliance decided to set fire under this on Twitter criticizing Ovechkin for not speaking with the media.

Samantha Pell of the Washington Post, stated that the reason behind his unavailability to the media is because they want to focus on tonights game against the Rangers.
Expecting Alex Ovechkin to be available to media in the coming days. He was requested this AM, but Caps want to keep the focus on tonight's game vs NYR.
Ovechkin wants further time before speaking on Russia's attack on Ukraine.
