While it seems like Kasper wasn't backing down from Mantha, he wasn't throwing many punches either going to wrap him up instead of trying not to fight.
Mantha has always been a solid middle-six winger who can get physical when need be but struggles to stay healthy. When paired with Tom Wilson, it makes for one of the most fierce lines in the NHL.
Kasper on the other hand has his entire NHL future ahead of him. He Was the 8th pick in the 2022 draft and will likely spend the next season with the Detroit Red Wings as a mainstay. Last year he scored 23 points in 52 SHL games which isn't a lot but he was very impressive in a limited role.
While the fight wasn't all too climatic, it was interesting to see a young player like Kasper take on a known power forward.
