One of the Chicago Blackhawks top prospects was stretchered off the ice following a brutal leg injury.

It was a scary scene as Blackhawks prospect Samuel Savoie ran into the boards hard and seemingly broke many bones.

What was encouraging in it all was Savoie giving the thumbs up showing his grit as a person.

This injury resembles when Joni Pitkanen crashed into the boards hard and had his career ended after shattering his ankle.

We are hoping this injury does not end Savoies career and wish him a speedy recovery.
