Evgeni Malkin Gets Dropped By Dirty Punch From Kings Star
Evgeni Malkin got involved in a massive scrum last night and was the victim of a dirty gloves-on punch.
The Pittsburgh Penguins and the LA Kings are heading in different directions as franchises. LA is emerging as a legitimate contender while Pittsburgh struggles to compete for a wild card spot, there is still plenty of bad blood between the teams.
Evgeni Malkin found himself in the middle of a scuffle that had a mass of Kings and Penguins players getting chippy. Kings star
Adrian Kempe did not appreciate Malkin's presence and decided to fire a jab at Malkin that dropped him.
Kempe received a two-minute roughing penalty for his actions but some argued it should have been more.
Penguins Emerge Victorious
Malkin did get the last laugh as he assisted on the game-winning goal and the Pittsburgh Penguins emerged victorious over the LA Kings in a 4-3 overtime win.
In the end, Malkin finished with one assist bumping his season totals up to 14 points in 12 games while Kempe had a goal continuing his strong season of 15 points in 13 games.
