Evander Kane may have already found a new team

One of the biggest names available is pending unrestricted free agent and highly controversial Evander Kane. There's no secret Kane isn't well liked around the league and has a reputation to be a locker room Cancer.

However when he puts all the drama aside, he's one hell of a hockey player when he put his mind to it. Kane was a huge part of them making the playoffs and driving them to the Western Conference Finals.

One team that looks to be very interested in Kane, are the Washington Capitals. This would be huge as the Capitals are trying to build another Stanley Cup contending team during the Ovechkin era. Kane had 22 goals and 17 assists in 43 games this season and had a great playoffs putting up 13 goals and 4 assists in 15 playoff games.

The Capitals were interested in Kane before he joined the Oilers and even Ovechkin gave him a call to come and play, but I guess he chose the greatest current player over the greatest goal scorer. It looks like though Kane may be going to try and play with Ovechkin this season and see if his playoff record gets a little better.

Kane would definitely bring another physical and dynamic presence to the Capitals, especially with Tom Wilson out in recovery for the first few months of the season.
