Yesterday before the Carolina Hurricanes games, commentator Tripp Tracy posted some rather concerning posts on Twitter and did not show up for work.

Thankfully later he sent out another tweet thanking the 'caniacs' for always being there for him and stating he intends to get help.
Today both the Carolina Hurricanes and Tripp Tracy himself released statements:
Tripp is going to take some time away from the team and the broadcast to address a personal matter,» said Hurricanes President and General Manager Don Waddell. «We are in full support of his efforts to get healthy and ask that everyone please respect his privacy in this matter.
- Carolina Hurricanes

I am disgusted with myself that on the night @canes win the Metro Division that I was an extremely unimpressive distraction. I accept and know the steps I need to take to deal with this problem. Thank you to all Huge Caniacs for being so incredibly supportive.
- Tripp Tracy

We hope Tracy gets all the support he needs and we are all wishing him the best. It was truly amazing to see all the support he was receiving on social media from his fans.
