The Boston Bruins came out to one of the hottest starts to the season of the entire NHL, however, now find themselves in a mini-slump. They have lost their last 3 games, and captain Brad Marchand has not found the scoresheet in the last 4.

This has led Marchand to be demoted from the top line, down to the third line, in hopes of lighting a fire under the leader to get things back on track. The Bruins line combinations are now the following.

There is no question that the Bruins know how to be successful in the regular season. Last year, they had one of the best regular seasons in NHL history. However, that seemed easily brushed under the rug when fans consider how the team performed in the playoffs, with an unexpected first-round exit.

While the Bruins are slumping now, this could be an opportunity for Marchand and the leadership group to pull the team together and learn how to deal with adversity, something that they will need in order to be successful come playoff time.
