One of the Winter Classic jerseys may have been leaked on Saturday night by an unlikely source. The Utah Jazz may have previewed what the Kraken will be wearing.
Jazz Leak Newest Winter Classic Jerseys
One of the best parts of the NHL's Winter Classic through the years has been the alternate sweater designs that teams wear during the January 1st affair.
This season's matchup features the defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights facing the Seattle Kraken at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
While there has been no official release of what either team will be wearing, it appears that on Saturday night the NBA's Utah Jazz may have leaked the Kraken's sweaters for the event.
In what looked to be a cross-promotion that somehow had some miscommunication, Jazz players entered the arena prior to their game on Saturday night wearing jerseys with the Kraken's logo in red, on a sweater with alternating stripes in the team's colors.
John Collins wore an ice blue do-rag under a hat to match the team colors.
The design is an homage to the Seattle Metropolitans, who played from 1915 to 1924 in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association.
