After Pittsburgh Penguins fans worrying that they were going to lose super star Evgeni Malkin, the Penguins make some huge news.
Sportsnet hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman revealed the Pittsburgh Penguins have indeed re-signed Russian star Evgeni Malkin to a new 4 year deal with a annual salary of $6.1 million dollars.
Malkin was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2004 NHL entry draft 2nd overall. Malkin has played in 981 games in Pittsburgh and has scored 444 goals, and 702 assists.
Malkin has also been part of the Penguins winning 3 Stanley Cups including back to back in 2016-17.
