NHL Fines Leon Draisaitl For Dirty Play Against Islanders
During the Oilers-Islanders game, Leon Draisaitl took his frustration out on Bo Horvat, giving him a dirty crosscheck to the back of the knee, which caused Horvat to fold to the ice. The play was caught on video, and Draisaitl received a tripping minor on the play.
Now, the Department of Player Safety has announced that Draisaitl has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for the play.

The play was just one small part of Draisaitl's 4-point performance in the Oilers' first win under their new head coach.
