The Chicago Blackhawks have officially replaced Corey Perry by naming the player who is replacing him as alternate captain!
Blackhawks Name Dickinson As Newest Alternate Captain
Since GM Kyle Davidson terminated Corey Perry's contract, there has been a void in the Blackhawks locker room. They did not immediately pick a new alternate captain to replace Perry symbolically but after a bit of time, the Blackhawks have made their choice.
Their pick, Jason Dickinson, is one of the Blackhawks veteran players and is currently in his second season with the Blackhawks. He is currently second in goals on the team and also third in points.
The 28-year-old is getting recognition from Head Coach Luke Richardson as the guy who has stepped up and proven he deserves the letter. The Blackhawks do not currently have a captain but there are rumblings that Connor Bedard or Seth Jones will be named as their captain for the 2024-25 season.
