A 1000-game veteran has returned to the NHL as an advisor to a team undergoing massive changes.
Richards Returns With The St. Louis Blues
Insider Elliotte Friedman just announced that the St. Louis Blues are bringing in former NHLer Brad Richards as a powerplay consultant.
St. Louis GM Doug Armstrong says the team hired Brad Richards as a consultant to look at the team's powerplay, send suggestions.
Throughout his 15-year career, Richards played in 1126 career NHL games, scoring 932 total points, winning two Stanley Cups and a Conn Smyth trophy. He also won the Lady Byng in 2004 playing for the Lightning.
In 2016 Richards retired and he joined the Rangers as a senior advisor. He spent four seasons with the team but then departed and since has not been involved in the NHL.
