Travis Green provides an update on Brady Tkachuk after strange injury vs. Islanders

This evening, Ottawa Senators head coach Travis Green spoke to the media and gave an update on Brady Tkachuk after his strange injury.
The Ottawa Senators continued their push for a playoff spot today against the New York Islanders.
While the Sens pulled out a win they also lost their captain Brady Tkachuk after a strange sequence of events.
First, early in the game Tkachuk dropped the gloves with Islanders captain Anders Lee.
While the fight was physical, everything seemed fine for Tkachuk who continued to play.
However, near the end of the second period, Tkachuk inexplicably fell to the ice without being hit and struggled to keep his balance.
He would later be ruled out for the game leaving fans to wonder what exactly happened to him.
Now, head coach Travis Green spoke to the media and provided a small update on his captain.

During his post game press conference, Green was asked about Tkachuk’s health.
He admitted he didn’t have a concrete update other than Brady was not feeling well during the game.
Travis Green says Brady Tkachuk “wasn’t feeling well”. No other concrete update beyond that.

While it remains unclear what happened or how long Tkachuk will be out, some fans and analysts have suggested Tkachuk might have suffered a head injury during his early game fight.
Tkachuk remains a deeply important player for the Senators and if he misses significant time Ottawa could have trouble securing a playoff spot or getting out of the first round.
