Toronto Maple Leafs announce season ending injuries for three key players

The Toronto Maple Leafs find themselves out of playoff contention and are now looking for a new General Manager.

Adding to that chaos with just three games left in the season, the Maple Leafs have reportedly shut down Brandon Carlo, Anthony Stolarz, and Dakota Joshua.

During his pre-game media availability, Maple Leafs head coach confirmed that Carlo, Joshua, and Stolarz all will not return this season.

All three of Stolarz, Joshua, and Carlo have been key pieces for the Maple Leafs this season with Stolarz playing nearly 30 games in a backup role while the other two were able to get into over 50 games before injury derailed their seasons.

While none reportedly need surgery, there is a fear that Stolarz’s injury is severe enough to impact his offseason training going forward.

Shutting these players down for the final couple of games will not impact the Maple Leafs current season but if any of their injuries linger it could set back their start to next year.

Hopefully, all three will use these extra games away and be able to get healthy sooner than expected for next season.
