It was bad news for the Toronto Maple Leafs despite their Game 1 win over the Panthers after goalie Anthony Stolarz was hurt and reportedly was stretchered out.

The good news for the Toronto Maple Leafs is that they built up a huge lead over the divisional foe Florida Panthers in their Eastern Conference Semi Final series and then managed to withstand a furious comeback effort to win 5-4.
Toronto leads the series 1-0 with Game 2 on Wednesday.
The bad news is that they lost goaltender Anthony Stolarz following a controversial hit to his head from Panthers forward Sam Bennett, who has a well-known reputation for playing on the edge.
Stolarz was seen vomiting at the Maple Leafs bench, and even reportedly needed to be stretchered out of the venue by medical personnel.
To make matters worse, an alarming report from a noted sports neuroscientist specializing in concussions immediately sparked worry about the long-term health of Stolarz.
Per Chris Nowinski, PhD, Stolarz needed to immediately be transported to an emergency room if he was vomiting following a potential concussion.
When I initially posted on Anthony Stolarz I didn't know they initially left him in for more than two minutes until he started vomiting on the bench.
We need to do better.
PSA: If you vomit multiple times after a brain injury, get to the emergency room.

Nowinski is known for being the co-founder and CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, which leads "the fight against concussions and CTE and dedicated to improving the lives of those impacted."
Nowinski followed up his initial assessment by stating he believes Stolarz potentially was concussed far before that after taking a shot to the mask from Sam Reinhart:
Joseph Woll replaced Stolarz in the crease and by all indications will likely be getting his 1st start of the playoffs in Game 2 on Wednesday.
