Tonight, a certified doctor has given his opinion on Brady Tkachuk’s unusual injury and caused concern about Tkachuk’s chances of returning for the playoffs.

On Saturday, Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk suffered a strange injury that seemed to have no immediate cause.
Tkachuk suddenly lost his balance as he approached the Senators bench and could not regain his composure immediately heading to the locker room.
Tkachuk was ruled out shortly after and then Senators head coach Travis Green provided a small update confirming Tkachuk was not feeling well but did not confirm anything beyond that.
Now, family doctor and social media presence Dr. Harjas Grewal gave his opinion on the injury providing a wide array of potential causes from serious to minor.

Dr. Grewal began by admitting there could be several causes including some that are life threatening or less serious such vertigo or what many fans believe is a concussion.
Shortly after turning his head rapidly, Tkachuk seems to develop balance issues. Long list of causes. Assuming it’s not anything life-threatening, vertigo (specifically BPPV) would be a common cause. Need to rule out concussion too.
While Grewal admits that the more severe problems are unlikely, mentioning that level of health problem sparked concern in the replies.
Luckily, it seems that the worst case scenario is not in play here as the Senators released a statement confirming Tkachuk would be out today due to fatigue and illness but is doing well.
Hopefully, Tkachuk will be able to rebound quickly from whatever is impacting his ability to play ahead of the beginning of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
As more information is provided on Tkachuk’s health and potential return we will pass that news along to you.
