6'7 defenseman Logan Stanley fights well-known Golden Knights enforcer
During the Winnipeg Jets bout against the Vegas Golden Knights last night, things got a bit chippy which resulted in a massive hockey fight between 6'7 Logan Stanley and enforcer Keegan Kolesar.
Heading into last night's game between the Golden Knights and the Winnipeg Jets, both teams stood in playoff position as the third-best teams in their respective conference. With so little of the season left, the game had major playoff implications and could be the difference between a wild card spot or not.
Setting a tone early, Logan Stanley, a 6'7 defenseman for the Winnipeg Jets, and Keegan Kolesar, one of the leaders in fighting majors for the Vegas Golden Knights, dropped the gloves.
It certainly looked as if Stanley was able to land more punches but Kolesar certainly held his own despite being much smaller at 6'2, five inches shorter than Stanley.
Kolesar and the Golden Knights get the last laugh with a 4-1 victory
While Stanley may have gotten the upper hand in their bout, Kolesar and the Golden Knights ultimately pulled away with the victory.
While a 4-1 win sounds dominating, the game was much closer in reality as the Golden Knights netted two empty-net goals in the final moments of the game. Led by Pavel Dorofeyev and Ivan Barbashev, the Knights were able to hold off the Jets.
