The ultimate story of resilience. Athleticism. Congratulations Jacob.
Jacob and his surviving teammates have become icons of overcoming adversity since the accident. Many of them have traveled across the hockey world, making appearances with NHL clubs. Jacob himself and his teammate Ryan Straschnitski participated in a ceremonial puck drop for the Colorado Avalanche shortly after the accident.
We are so honored to have Humboldt Broncos Ryan Straschnitski and Jacob Wassermann drop the puck for us tonight.
