The Winnipeg Jets fell short in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and now after their coach has retired, they're reportedly looking to move one of their top names.

Despite a great regular season, the Winnipeg Jets struggled mightily in the playoffs after taking game one, and now they may be looking to make big changes. Last year they let veteran Blake Wheeler go and traded Pierre-Luc Dubois, and this summer it may be a beloved veteran.

According to The Athletic, winger Nikolaj Ehlers may be on the trade block this summer as they look to retool for a Stanley Cup run.

Ehlers has been with the Jets since he was drafted No. 9 overall back in 2014, playing 605 games with the team ever since, tallying 25 goals and 61 points in 2023-24. This speculation has been around since the Jets season ended, with many speculating that the team will look to build around their younger core moving forward.

In a division with Dallas and Colorado, it's always g owing to be tough to build a Stanley Cup contender, but after years of building, it appears the Jets are ready to pull the trigger on a big move to make it happen.
