Veteran Winnipeg Jets defenseman Luke Schenn is reportedly open to a trade, amidst the disappointing year the team is experiencing, only a season removed from winning the President's Trophy as the NHL's best team.

There isn't much going right for the Winnipeg Jets, who are in the middle of a 10-game losing streak and are the worst-ranked team in the Central Division. Even more surprising is that they are only a season removed from winning the President's Trophy as the NHL's best team.
The Jets could be faced with some tough roster decisions in the coming weeks and months as the Trade Deadline gets closer, and one name that has been thrown out there in trade rumours is defenseman Luke Schenn.
Per a report from NHL analyst David Pagnotta, Schenn is open to being moved.
The interesting thing is that we're starting to hear about Luke Schenn, who just played his 1,100th game with the Jets last night. I don't know if that'll be his last with the Jets, but I don't know how much more runway there is if things continue status quo.

There is some word that Luke Schenn wouldn't mind a change of scenery. He would be open to a move. I don't know if that relates to how the team is performing, and he's been scratched a few times. I'm sure it all correlates. But the latest that we've got on Luke Schenn is he hasn't asked for a trade, but he is open to a change of scenery. And that's something that the Jets are monitoring now. - David Pagnotta

So far in 28 games this year, Schenn has five points (1G, 4A).

Luke Schenn Recently Played In His 1,100th Career NHL Game

Schenn, who was taken with the fifth overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, has played for multiple teams in his NHL career.
He's spent time with the Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes, Anaheim Ducks, Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Nashville Predators, and Jets. He's in the last year of his contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $2,750,000.
He also won two straight Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
