Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart was hurt in last night's win over the Columbus Blue Jackets and had to be helped off the ice, as he wasn't able to put any weight on his leg.
The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Columbus Blue Jackets in last night's game, but they lost goaltender Carter Hart to a lower-body injury, and he did not come back. He was replaced by backup Akira Schmid.
Hart began playing for the Golden Knights in early December after he was eligible to return per the ruling from NHL commissioner Gary Bettman.
When he was asked for an update on Hart's status, head coach Bruce Cassidy admitted that things didn't look good.
Uh, nothing I can give you now. He's going to get a full evaluation probably tomorrow, so we'll know fairly quickly.
We'll find out probably more [on Saturday] and probably give you some updates Saturday if we're able to see him on the ice. But it didn't look good, the way he went off. So hopefully it's nothing serious, but I don't know. -Bruce Cassidy

So far in his first year with the Golden Knights, Hart, who previously played with the Philadelphia Flyers, is 5-3-3 with a .871 SV%.
The Golden Knights Are Now Short Several Goaltenders
If Hart is on the shelf for any lengthy period of time, he'd be the latest Golden Knights goaltender who is unavailable because of an injury.
Adin Hill hasn't played since October 20, but he was back at practice yesterday before the rest of his teammates played the Blue Jackets.
There should be an update on Hart's condition from the Golden Knights later on, after they've done a full evaluation on him.
