'There is a deal to be made': Friedman reveals one dark horse team that could pull off Quinn Hughes trade

For months now, there has been plenty of speculation around Quinn Hughes and the future of the Vancouver Canucks, with many expecting the superstar defenseman to be traded at some point.

Recently, it has been revealed that the Canucks have talked to the New Jersey Devils about a potential deal that would unite Quinn with his brothers Luke and Jack, but with the deadline still months away, there's time for other teams to make their offers.

Now, one of the teams emerging as a potential trade partner with Vancouver is the Detroit Red Wings, with Elliotte Friedman recently reporting that the pieces are there to make a deal, if both parties want to make it happen.

This comes on the back of other insiders and reporters speculating that there could be a deal to be made, with Detroit looking to add a superstar to their blue line after a promising 15-11-3 start to the 2025/26 campaign.
