Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers scratched for trade related purposes

The Vancouver Canucks have announced that defenseman Tyler Myers is being made a healthy scratch for trade related purposes as the trade deadline inches closer.
It's been a completely miserable year for the Vancouver Canucks, who are dead last in the Western Conference and have already sold off two major pieces in Quinn Hughes and Kiefer Sherwood.
Hughes was traded to the Minnesota Wild, and Sherwood was traded to the divisional foe San Jose Sharks.
There are still several players on the Canucks who are embroiled in trade rumours, including Conor Garland, Jake DeBrusk and Elias Pettersson.
Another player who has emerged in trade rumours is defenseman Tyler Myers, and it looks like there could be momentum building on a move.
The Canucks, who play the Winnipeg Jets tonight, have announced that Myers is being made a healthy scratch, indicating that a move could be imminent.

So far this year, Myers has eight points (1G, 7A) in 57 games. He'll be an intriguing asset considering he's a right-handed defenseman.
Tyler Myers Is In His Seventh Year With The Canucks
Myers, who was taken with the 12th pick by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, is playing in his seventh year in a Canucks sweater.
He's also played for the Winnipeg Jets after he was traded from Buffalo as part of a trade for his now-current Canucks teammate Evander Kane.
Myers still has a year beyond this current one with an AAV (average annual value) of $3 million left on his contract, which includes a no-move clause that he'd have to waive.
