Last night Paul Bissonnette was on TNT as part of their usual Stanley Cup Playoff coverage. During an intermission, he let a comment slip to one of his co-hosts for the night that might have revealed the Maple Leafs' new favorite choice for head coach.

It is widely speculated that the Toronto Maple Leafs will fire their head coach Sheldon Keefe in the coming days. With this anticipation the speculation has built around who will be the team's next head coach.

Last night while on TNT Paul Bissonnette made a comment directed at Craig Berube who was on the broadcast as a special guest suggesting that Craig Berube would be the next head coach.

"Chief, that's enough buddy, I'm gonna break the news that you're the new Leafs Head Coach." Bissonnette said.

Craig Berube was of course the St. Louis Blues head coach when they won their Stanley Cup in 2019. He also possesses many qualities that fans are hoping for from a Maple Leafs coach to push the group to the next level.

Sheldon Keefe definitely pumped the Leafs up with his pre-game speech. It's going to be refreshing when Craig Berube takes charge behind the bench

Now the waiting game in Toronto begins. Speculation will continue to build until a move is made by the Toronto Maple Leafs or they announce that Sheldon Keefe is staying. Either way, the reactions from the Maple Leafs fans will be a sight to see.
