The Toronto Maple Leafs fell in agonizing fashion on Saturday night, and now a Rangers analyst has rubbed salt in the wound after game one of the semi-finals.

While plenty of things went right for Toronto against the Boston Bruins, more things went wrong, and while it's hard to blame their loss on just one thing, the power play did struggle mightily. With Auston Matthews and William Nylander both missing time in the series, it makes sense, but now, a Rangers analyst has shown just how bad it was with a comparison.

Just to kick #LeafsForever fans while they're down, #NYR have more PP goals in 23 seconds than they did in their entire 7-game series.

As pointed out, the Leafs managed just one power play goal in 21 opportunities in the series against the Bruins, with the Rangers tallying two of them in just 23 seconds in game one against Carolina.

The Rangers would go on to pick up game one by a score of 4-3 at Madison Square Garden, while the Maple Leafs are looking to the summer and the many changes they need to make as an organization. Sure, it's easy to blame goaltending and the offense as a whole struggled, but it's safe to say that if the Maple Leafs power play was somewhat better against Boston, they could have come away with a series win and a rematch with the Florida Panthers.
