Former Montreal Canadiens defenseman PK Subban is calling out the Toronto Maple Leafs on social media amidst their inconsistent start to the year.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been anything but consistent to start this season, as they're 9-9-3 and just one point out of last place with the divisional foe Buffalo Sabres.
It's taken some getting used to for the Maple Leafs without forward Mitch Marner, who had a career-best 102 points last year but was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights after their latest playoff loss to the Florida Panthers in the spring.
Former Montreal Canadiens defenseman PK Subban, now an analyst with TNT, didn't hold back in his criticism of the Leafs so far this year.
I keep receipts...sure looks like the Leafs are missing Marner right about now
Subban then doubled down on his criticism and called out the fans he feel pushed Marner out of Toronto despite him being an Ontario kid who grew up idolizing the Leafs:
Leaf fans- Things don't work, let's get rid of the kid who grew up down street!!.. wake up folks!

Start taking care of your homegrown guys! He is a superstar! Canadian, and from GTA! Those are the guys you want to keep! Media have to do a better job calling it the way it is and stop with all the political crap in Toronto. Start holding media accountable! you guys eat up all the crap and drive talent out of town! Leaf fans, you know you should still have him, and we know you should still have him.
So far this year with the Golden Knights, Marner has 21 points (4G, 17A) in 20 games and is on pace for 86 points.

The Mitch Marner Era Officially Ended For The Maple Leafs This Summer

The era of Mitch Marner in a Maple Leafs sweater came to an end this summer, as he was sent to the Golden Knights in a massive sign and trade deal for Nicolas Roy.
Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs have several key players who are not able to play right now because of injury, including Auston Matthews and Anthony Stolarz.
The Leafs have struggled with inconsistency, and the Golden Knights are second overall in the Pacific Division.
